A Slow January

We didn't take very many pictures in January.  We were all shellacked by a nasty sore throat, upper respiratory thing and were also stuck inside a lot due to a super-cold winter.  We ended the month well on the mend but in looking back, I only had one picture to post.  It is of Charlie "reading" books.  His favorite currently is this football book.  He says "oot-ball, oot-ball, oot-ball" when he picks it off the shelf.  He is REALLY into football and basketball on TV.  We are trying to catch a good video of his reaction (particularly to basketball) so look out for that soon.  All balls in Charlie's world are "oot-balls" (oblong ones) or "bas-balls" (round ones).

Grandma and Grandpa Grover visited at the end of the month and I know they took a few so hopefully they'll send some cute ones our way.  I'm committed to get back on the picture-taking/blogging wagon in February!

A Dancing Machine!

Charlie loves to dance.  His father is somewhat "famous" for his dance moves (LRDP!) so it is only natural :)  It is a post-dinner ritual at our house to put on some tunes and turn the living room into a dance floor.  It is hard to catch a video because he loves to come and grab the camera but I was able to snatch a few cute ones.  Enjoy...

(Note, Charlie typically wears pants.  Why he is not in the first two videos can not be explained.)

There aren't a lot of dance moves in this last one but I thought it was cute to see him laughing at James' dance moves.  He does bust some sweet moves at the end though. Too sweet.

Professional Pictures

I am finally getting around to posting Charlie's 14 months pictures we did at Maymont Park and some shots we did around Christmas time (17 months) at The Jefferson Hotel and the Main Street Train Station.  We had a great time at both shoots and Charlie loves the photographer.  We hope to use her more times in the future!  He was such a ham at the first shoot but his enhanced mobility and the new settings made getting a still shot of him tough at the second one.  Luckily next time around it will be nice outside again which should help.  Below are some of my favorites (as usual, be warned there are a ton).

14 Month Shoot (late September 2010) at Maymont:

I wasn't planning on being in any, but she got a few candid ones

Found a little Caterpillar on the bench

Ohh, it is tickly!

Grandma and Grandpa were visiting and came out with us so we stuck them in a picture too :)

17-Month Shoot (a few days before Christmas 2010) at Jefferson Hotel and at the Main Street Train Station:

Big kiss for Dad

How big does this kid look?!?  Not a baby any more :(

Happy 2011 and More Christmas!

We headed back to North Carolina for New Year's to spend New Year's Eve with some friends (no camera so no pictures... probably best).  The next day before heading back, we went over to the Tweedy's to exchange Christmas gifts with Jake and Sam.  Happy 2011! Below are some pictures:

Ohh... more presents!

What is this one?

Ohh, a cool wooden thing from Aunt Katie!

Ohh, bugs!

Fun with Aunt Katie
