Finally, Marley has a buddy. It took awhile but he finally learned the way to her heart.

Earning His Keep
Charlie had a productive little weekend. After unloading a trunkload of groceries...
...in the fridge whether they belong there or not.
He also tried his hand at some yardwork! Clipping bushes...
...picking up James' clippings and putting them into a diaper box...
...and in a dumptruck.
And then feel asleep eating lunch...
...yet still drank milk when I told him to.

Happy Father's Day!
We had a nice little Father's Day weekend. After a gig on Saturday night, we gave Dad a nice present of sleeping in until noon :) After a nice lunch and relaxing afternoon, we spent the evening with a picnic dinner at Dogwood Dell, yogurt at Sweet Frogs and presents at home.
Charlie is lucky to have the most fun and loving daddy. We love him so much (as his shirt implies)!

Mmm, pita chips!
Drumming with the band
And using carrot sticks as drum sticks
With Dad
Who is opening presents?
They seem pleased with the frame I made of James' running stuff
Charlie loves, loves, loves the Napoleon Dynamite card he picked out at the grocery store for James (it plays sound). We won't mention how his hair looks a lot like Napoleon too.
Sweet boys
Special shirt and his new posed smile
Sometimes his new posed smile looks like this... oh boy, I hope this isn't the first of many pictures that look this way!

Two Pretty Blondes
Mitch, Rebekah and Leo came for a visit this weekend! Last time they were here, Charlie and Leo weren't quite ready to be buddies yet (Charlie was walking and Leo wasn't) but this time they had a lot of fun. Below are some cute pictures I took. We were all sad to say good-bye.
Running back and forth in the bedroom
Marley got some extra pets too.
Charlie getting ready to drive to the hole.
Jamming.
Charlie clapping for himself.
Cooking/playing drums.
Tasting their concoction.
And wearing bowl hats.

Yet Another Trip to Maymont
It was a nice day today so we headed over to Maymont again to check out the farm animals. I didn't take any pictures of those (because I have some many... see multiple prior posts) but Charlie touched a goat this time! Because we were having so much fun and the weather was pretty cool, we decided to take the hike (no stroller) all the way through the animal exhibits to the bears. It is really hilly and zig-zaggy but Charlie walked himself the whole way, stopping a lot along the way to see each animal and grass, streams, bridges, etc... it was a fun to watch him explore it all by foot vs. in the stroller. I did take a few pictures along the way:
"Mom, look at this stream"
Bear in the water
"Did you see that bear?"
Bear on a rock
Running to the next stop... cutest little run with fists clinched and elbows swinging :)
Fun is serious business
Apparently we tuckered him out. We live 3 minutes from Maymont. This was minute 2.
