Sunglasses
Charlie got some matching sunglasses with his dad and wants to wear them non-stop. Expect all future pictures to look a little something like this...
Too cool to smile
Super-inappropriate shirt brought back from Vegas (as a side note, how big does this kid look?!?)...
... of course the back says this.
Even first thing in the morning

Zoo Fun
Yea, nice weather has returned! We made a trip to the Richmond Zoo this week to celebrate. Still not the best zoo but Charlie does't seem to mind. He even let a Giraffe eat out of a cup he was holding this time (last time we wouldn't get near them). What fun!
A year later and still not riding the animals on the Merry-Go-Round
Monkeys!
Scoping the zebras
Coolest thing at the zoo
Daddy is brave
Charlie is too!
Going for a "train" ride
"Oh hi deer!"
Good day at the zoo
Eating peas at a bar afterwards watching basketball (classy)

Our Little Performer
Today at school, Charlie's class led Shabbat for the school. They were all so cute and he did such a good job following instructions and signing his songs. Afterwards we had a nice little party in his classroom. So proud :)

Lighting the candles
Song #1, The rolly polly candles...
Song #2, Shabbat Princess

Here Comes Spring!
It was a beautiful weekend and we had tons of fun hanging out outside! The Squirrels had a Fan Fest event where we got to hangout on the baseball field, sit in a mini-race car and go on a train ride. Needless to say, Charlie was in heaven. I have a feeling we will be back to the ballpark often this Spring/Summer.

Purim Princess
Today, Charlie's preschool celebrated Purim with a dress-up party. The kids could wear any costume but are encouraged to dress like a character from the Purim story. Rather than asking him what he wanted to be (because I knew he would say a princess), I decided he could be a king. Charlie and I made a great crown with stickers, crayons, glitter, jewels, etc. and James even got it laminated at school. He also had a little robe and medallion to wear.
The day of the party Charlie was excited to wear his crown but wasn't really feeling the robe. Upon getting to his class and seeing his other classmates he was very, very sad that they all got to dress like princesses. The genuine sadness on his face was something I had never seen before and it totally broke my heart :(
Luckily though... his teacher saw it too and immediately pulled out his favorite blue dress and he got to wear it all day with his king crown on his head. I have to admit he makes a pretty princess :)
