A Pretty Girl

I love this collection of pictures on the new couch so though they deserved their own post.  She is just the sweetest and these capture several of her silly little faces.  I can't handle the sweetness :)

Charlie's August Adventures

We have a bike rider!  After a few timid rides, Charlie is now riding like a champ.  He looks like such a big boy on his bike...

James took off last Friday to take Charlie to the last day of the Redskins training camp in Richmond.  Apparently they had fun and Charlie now has a new shirt that he begs to wear everyday...

Posing in their jerseys

We went to see Charlie's first moving this week too!  He is so into "Faces Race Cars" (thanks to Grandpa and Papa buying him all sorts of Cars paraphernalia) and so when we heard about the Planes movie coming out we knew that would be the perfect thing to take him to for his first time.  He called it "Faces Race Cars Airplanes."  We got a sitter for the baby and had a special date night.  He couldn't have been sweeter.  He could barely stand the excitement at dinner and was so chatty and ate his dinner faster than we've ever seen so we could go to the theater.  I don't have any good pictures because he couldn't stand still for one he was so excited.  He loved the movie despite a few scary parts where he clung to me tightly.

Playing Like a Big Girl

It was a big weekend for the baby girl.  First she got to have her first tea party!  The set was a gift and we had just kept it in the box since she was pretty little for it still.  Charlie has been asking to open it up though so we finally did.  She probably didn't expect her first tea party to be with a pantless, lego-playing fireman!  Watching them play was really heartwarming... he was so gentle pouring her tea and offering her little cakes.  And funny enough, she acted like she knew what to do and lifted her cup to her mouth just right.  The first of many time playing together in the future.

We also got out the stationary jumper thing Charlie had as a baby.  It was collecting dust in our old basement and new garage but when Grandpa was visiting a few weeks back he cleaned it all up for us. It has taken some time to warm up to it but Kerrington loves it now!  She hoots and hollars when she is in there, particularly at dinner time.

She loves looking at the baby in the mirror...

More of brothers baby toys...

Almost ready to paint herself...

And just because they are cute...

Last Day at the JCC

Driving Charlie down to the JCC everyday since I've been back to work has been tough.  We love the school but I really struggle to get to work on time so after summer camp we are going to move him to a different school for the Fall.  On his last day, the parents were invited to do an art project and to watch the kids swim.  Charlie was very proud to have me there to show off his skills in the pool and of course I was proud to watch him.

Lining up with his classmates

Unwrapped!

Kerrington has been such an awesome sleeper that I've been reluctant to take her out of her swaddle wraps.  They've gotten rather tight though so rather than buy a bigger size I decided to unwrap her.  She of course did great!  She flips over to her tummy immediately and goes right to sleep.  The first week she moved all around her bed at nighttime and subsequently made me come in multiple times to pull her arm back in from the slats or pull her squished head out from the corner.  She is cool now though and so happy when she wakes up!

I could watch her sleep for hours

Good morning!
