A Visit to DC

In the back half of Spring Break we spent a few days up in DC.  It was Charlie's first trip and our first one with kids in tow.  Charlie was sick earlier in the week so we delayed our trip by a day and met the Rowlands up there.  With all the walking, we really wore the little bugger out.  He was a great sport though and had a really great time with his bud Efa.

Day One was the Air and Space and Natural History Museums (dinos!)...

We made it!

"Whoa!"

Day Two was the Zoo...
Twinies

A Cheetah!

The famous Pandas

Proof K was there

Zoo Friends!

Pretty impressive pic after a long nap-less day

Train!

Day Three was Pack-up-and-leave Day with a stop in Bowie to see a baseball game...

Helping

Uh-oh, paci out = Mom in desperation mode.  The look in Charlie's eyes is a clue too.

Getting to watch Adam announce the game

Kerrington, the game is the other way

"Sunglasses!"

Sign of a good vacation = passed out kiddo and a messy car

Ahhhhh

I brought a bag of pillows home from the store this weekend and Kerrington took everyone out and gave them each a test run.  Charlie and I had such fun ohhing and ahhing over her everytime she laid her head down that she now cuddles with every pillow she sees just to get a reaction out of us.  It works!  She is so darn cute laying on a pillow, we can't help but go "ahhhh."

A Spring Break Project

Why do I do this to myself?!?  Four coats of paint later and they do look awesome though.

Times Have Changed...

We got to see the old college crew with a few extras this weekend.  These guys never imagined posing like this back in 1999...

A Little Sports Obsessed

Everything these days for Charlie is about sports.  It all began with his football men in October and now everything that can be sorted into two colors is some type of game... checkers, magnetic letters, a deck of cards.

Since he has begun reading pretty well, he now uses his letters to spell out team names and keep score.  I found these on the dining room table last week.  None perfectly spelled but pretty phonetically good :)

Professional Pictures

For Kerrington's birthday I had Lindsey out to our house to take some pictures.  We rescheduled twice for rain and thought we ended up with a nice morning but the wind was brutal.  For a crazy hair-fixer like me it was a nightmare.  The kids did well despite it though and we got some great shots.
