Visit from the Tweedys

Aunt Katie, Uncle Kevin and Cousins Jake and "Big" Sam came for a visit and we had a great time spending the day playing together.  Charlie has a way to go to catch up to Sam who is one month older but he is working on it :)

Finally Home!

Charlie finally came home on August 5th and is doing great… he is sleeping well at nighttime and seems happy to be sticking to the NICU feeding schedule of every three hours. Grandma and Grandpa Grover stayed with us for another week and the Lane’s came for a visit his first weekend home.

Time in the NICU

In his 2 weeks at the NICU, Charlie had several visitors including Grandma and Grandpa Grover, Granny and Grandpa Lane, Aunt Katie, Aunt Allison, Uncle Todd and Great Grandma Floyd. He made several friends there but was happy to move to the Progressive Care Nursery after a week and a half and then home a few days later.

Charlie's Birth

Charles Alexander Lane was born on July 25th at 4:57PM. He weighed 5lb, 15oz and was 19.5 inches long. He was a little early at 36 weeks so had to spend a week and a half in the NICU at Henrico Doctors Hospital before heading home.

Here are some pictures from the wonderful showers we had for Charlie. First up was with my good friends at CarMax, hosted by Laura and Ann.





A week later we had a couples shower with friends here in Richmond hosted by Megan and Ben and Marcy and Mark.






We were supposed to have another shower the following weekend in North Carolina but Charlie came early instead! My mom and sister brought the shower up to me in Richmond and we had a nice luncheon and opened gifts when I came home from the hospital.
