Coachella

James and I scooted out to LA for the last two days of Spring Break to go to the Coachella music festival. We've always wanted to go and with our friend Matt playing there is was a great excuse to go!  We didn't bring the real camera but snapped a few iPhone photos.  Of course it was a weird rainy cold weekend in southern Cali... we had a great time nonetheless.

Random tourist shots from our first night...

The next morning we cruised around in our phaty car up the PCH and through the hills...

Hiking up to Griffith Observatory

We headed over to Coachella later that night (it is two hours from LA) to see the Black Keys.

We spent the whole next day at the festival...

Spring Break in Atlanta

Plane ride #2 = Success!  Charlie had so much fun riding in his own seat.  He was so good... ate a good dinner, read some books, did a little coloring and we were there!

What fun to get to celebrate Grandpa Grover's 70th(!!!) birthday with Aunt Katie and Sam too!  They boys haven't seen each other since Christmas but they picked up right where the left off running around like to crazy men.

"Helping" make cake

(Grover, get it?)

Having a "bite" of cake

"Grandpa look at the awesome football I picked out for you!"

Best buds!

Easter!  Charlie and Sam had a great time hunting for eggs together.  The Easter Bunny hooked them up nicely...

All dressed up and ready to go

Mmmmm

Testing out some new sidewalk chalk

Whoa

Other fun before Sam left...

Puzzles with Grandma!

Action shot: How Grandpa grew up playing teeball with a bucket and stick :)

We went on a great train ride up in North Georgia with Grandpa.  What fun!  Charlie was beside himself riding a real choo-choo for the first time.  The next day he got to go on another one riding MARTA down to the airport to pick up dad.

We had lunch by a little river near the train station

Heading back home

After James came, we went to the Georgia Aquarium.  It was really huge and great!  Charlie had a great time seeing sooo many fish and such big ones.

Not so sure about the whale slide (hence dad riding too)

Cool shot

How cute are these two?

Penguins!
