Charlie had homework this weekend! Each kid in his class has taken a turn with the cooking backpack. They pick a recipe and chronicle the cooking adventure in a journal (complete with pictures) to share with the class the following week. We made cookies (of course) and since I took a gazillion pictures for the journal, I might as well capture them here too...

Trip to the Zoo
We had a nice day this week at the zoo with Cindy, Efa and Nia. The Richmond Zoo always makes me a little sad with the small cages and depressed looking animals but Charlie always has fun looking at the animals and of course riding the "train" (aka. a golf cart painted like a train).
A turtle older than Grandpa!
Feeding the giraffes from afar
Going in the bird cage
On the train ride with Efa
An ostrich was getting really close to us and Cindy made a joke about it biting Charlie's ear. Charlie then nearly knocked the ladies off the bench squirming to get away from it :)
The Rowlands ladies
Kerrington was there too (she seemed pretty unimpressed)

April Baby Pics
Below are some cute pictures of Kerrington this month. She is such a carefree and happy baby... we are so lucky! She is eating and sleeping like a champ. She even slept up to 7 hours straight a few nights this month (usually 6-6.5 hours) and stays on a nice predictable schedule throughout the day. She is giving us a lot of smiles here recently and is starting to coo some too. Just love this new baby stuff!
Thinking about doing tummy time
"Maybe I'll just lay here and look cute instead"
Race cars everywhere!
Chillin' in her shades
Rockin' them at soccer too
Chillin' with her girlfriend Nia
Snoozing on mom (I have about 100 cell phone pictures like this... can't resist the cuteness)
A better tummy time effort
Cheese!
"Who is that pretty lady?"
Little ladybug
The tongue is out a lot
"What?"
"I might smile"
Such a pretty girl
Almost a smile
"Daddy what are you doing"
"He..
...is so...
...funny!"
"Ok, now I'm done."
I am going to try to do this shot every month so at the end of the year we can see how much she's grown. Here is month one (taken a little late in the month)!
