Happy New Years!

James and I went to Charlottesville for a fun grown-up New Year's Eve. It was nice to have a nice dinner, see a good music show and stay over in a fun new Boutique hotel. Here comes 2016!

Christmas Morning

The kids got up around 8 and were beyond excited to go check out what Santa brought them! We had an awesome time opening up presents with a break for eggnog french toast breakfast between Santa and family gifts. Being a little under the weather (both kids... many buggers were blown) did nothing to squash the excitement of Christmas morning! After presents we played all day long and even kept dinner pretty chill with the prior nights snacky leftovers.

Stockings!

Checking out some of their big gifts

It is finally here!

What a fun month we had leading up until Christmas! It is so magical for the kiddos and they are completely filled with excitement. Kerrington has been asking every morning "is today Christmas mommy?" We keep explaining to her that we will whoop it up really big when the day comes that she'll know it for sure. And that whooping up is finally here with Christmas Eve! It was just the four of us this year. After saying goodbye to our friends around lunchtime, we made some (more) cookies, had a rest and then got on our fancy clothes for church on Christmas Eve. After the service we rode around looking a lights and even got out and toured around one of the cooler houses. Then it was back home for snacky food (kids were thrilled w/ fancy crackers and carrots from a veggie tray), putting out cookies for Santa, opening their annual slippers, reading The Night Before Christmas and then heading off to bed!

Off to church!

In leu of a church selfie, we did a car selfie (while parked of course)

Tacky lights!

One nice picture...

...then a tickle starts...

...and picture taking is quickly is over (yet w/ more "real" smiles than the first).

Putting the finishing touches on some cookies for Santa after a nice bath

Getting his plate ready

Writing a quick thank you

Santa will like this spread I think!

New slippers...Jaguars and kitties!

Again posing for one nice picture...

...then tickling...

... and done.
